Boamena Collective
is a Game Changer. We make mental, emotional and relational wellbeing support accessible for young people and their communities by using their favourite hobbies.
Our name is derived from the Adinkra symbol and aphorism ‘Boa me na me mmoa wo,’ meaning ‘Help me and let me help you’ - a powerful symbol of cooperation and interdependence.
Inspired by our founder’s Ghanaian heritage, this core principle runs deep through the practices and pedagogy of our programmes, rooted in the belief that everyone has something to teach and learn.

Our approach
Learning that speaks your language
We’re assembling a collective of young people, play specialists, youth workers, educators, psychologists, and researchers - ready to respond to our clients unique needs and to craft immersive learning experiences that truly connect.
Our approach is rooted in relational care and embodied learning, that transforms play into a bridge for deep understanding. Picture an attackers-vs-defenders football drill that kickstarts a conversation about our defence mechanisms, or a high-speed computer racing game seamlessly shifting into a discussion on navigating intensity in relationships.
This is learning that engages and empowers. This is learning that packs a punch.
Fully tailored programmes and full delivery options
Our team will work with you to tailor a bespoke programme fitting the needs and interests of your group.
This can be delivered by one of our specialist coaches, or with support, your own staff in any setting that brings out the joy in your group.
